Career Coaching

We have an established 6 step process that leads you through the key actions you need to take to secure your next role. Step 1: Rapport and Objective Session: We focus is on building a positive, strong relationship and establishing trust. It is also the time to start to understand what’s important to you and begin to develop a plan, with outputs and timescales Step 2: Target Market: Where do you want to work? Together we’ll explore sectors, type and size of company, whether you are interested in setting up your own business, e.g. Contracting / Consulting / NED. The type of role (size, seniority, full time, part time), as well as where in the country the search should cover are all discussed. Step 3: Marketing Materials: We need to consider your personal brand and how you will sell and market yourself. This typically will include the development or updating of your CV and Linked In profile. Step 4: Routes to Job Market: At this stage we will be in a position to recommend how we use the marketing materials (CV, Linked In) to best effect and developing a search strategy will fe ature here and would likely include the use of Job Sites (like Indeed, Total Jobs, etc), Recruitment Agencies, Headhunters, Linked In, your own network and directly approaching companies. Step 5: Accessing the Job Market: Targeted conversations with Recruitment Agencies, Headhunters, individuals identified via Linked In and through own network will be planned and prepared for. In addition, interview preparation will feature heavily at this stage. Step 6: Further Career Development: Having successfully secured a new role, focussing on onboarding will be a priority. It will be important to develop an initial 100-day plan to help you settle into your new role / company. This plan will ensure there is clarity on your responsibilities and objectives, as well as understanding your key stakeholders, including your new line manager and direct reports.
